Description

Amish Hamburger Steak Bake is a hearty and comforting dish that combines seasoned hamburger patties with a rich gravy and is baked to perfection, making it a family favorite.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into patties.
  3. In a skillet, brown the patties on both sides over medium heat.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and beef broth until smooth.
  5. Place the browned patties in a baking dish and pour the soup mixture over them.
  6. Add the frozen mixed vegetables on top.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
