Description

A delightful layered dessert featuring a crunchy pretzel crust, creamy cream cheese filling, and sweet blackberry preserves that creates a perfect balance of flavors and textures.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 2 cups blackberry preserves
  • 1/2 cup fresh blackberries (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until well combined, then press into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Bake for about 10 minutes until just golden. Let it cool completely.
  4. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  5. Gently fold in the whipped cream until well combined and spread evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
  6. Pour the blackberry preserves over the cream cheese layer, spreading evenly.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Garnish with fresh blackberries before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead: Prepare up to a day in advance for better flavor melding. Best served cold and doesn’t freeze well due to the whipped cream.
