Description

Delicious sliders filled with breaded chicken, marinara sauce, and melted cheese, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider rolls (Hawaiian or dinner rolls)
  • 1 lb cooked breaded chicken tenders (cut to fit rolls)
  • 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning or dried parsley
  • Optional toppings: red pepper flakes, fresh basil, extra Parmesan

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease or line your baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the rolls horizontally and place the bottom halves in the baking dish.
  3. Spread half of the marinara sauce over the rolls.
  4. Evenly arrange the breaded chicken on top of the marinara.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining marinara sauce over the chicken, followed by mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Place the top halves of the slider rolls over the cheese, and brush the melted butter mixed with garlic powder and Italian seasoning over them.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes until golden-brown.
  8. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving warm with extra marinara.

Notes

For make-ahead tips, prepare the sliders up to the baking step and refrigerate for up to a day. Try customizing proteins or adding veggies for extra flavor.
