Description

Crispy salmon strips coated with Panko breadcrumbs served with a creamy herb tartar dip, perfect for gatherings and family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into strips
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon capers, rinsed and chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the salmon fillet into strips, aiming for pieces about an inch wide.
  2. In one shallow dish, combine flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper. In another dish, whisk the eggs. Fill a third dish with Panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Dredge each salmon strip in the seasoned flour, dip in the eggs, then roll in the Panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  5. Fry the salmon strips in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through, about 3–4 minutes per side.
  6. In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, parsley, capers, and salt and pepper to taste; mix until smooth.
  7. Serve the crispy salmon strips alongside the herb tartar dip, garnished with lemon wedges.

Notes

For a healthier twist, consider using an air fryer or baking the strips in the oven.
