A comforting casserole featuring layers of creamy potato and cheese pierogies, smoky kielbasa, and a luscious cheese topping, perfect for family gatherings.

- 2 (16 oz) packages frozen potato and cheese pierogies
- 1 lb kielbasa sausage, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Prep the Crockpot: Lightly spray the inside of your crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
- Layer the Ingredients: Place half of the frozen pierogies in the bottom of the crockpot, followed by half of the sliced kielbasa and half of the chopped onion.
- Repeat the Layers: Layer the remaining pierogies, followed by the remaining kielbasa and onion.
- Create the Sauce: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, melted butter, and black pepper until smooth.
- Pour and Top: Pour the sauce over the layered ingredients and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Cook and Serve: Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until heated through and bubbling. Serve warm.
Notes
For make-ahead convenience, prepare layers in advance and refrigerate overnight. You can also customize with additional vegetables or different types of sausage.
