Description

Ingredients

  • 200g almond flour
  • 200g powdered sugar
  • 150g egg whites
  • 50g granulated sugar
  • Red food coloring
  • Buttercream or ganache for filling
  • Black edible marker for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix almond flour and powdered sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip egg whites until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the egg whites gently.
  5. Add red food coloring until desired color is achieved.
  6. Pipe the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in the shape of Santa’s face.
  7. Let the macarons rest for 30 minutes to form a skin.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, then let cool completely.
  9. Fill with buttercream or ganache and decorate with a black edible marker.
