A delightful mix of savory beef, vibrant vegetables, and silky noodles, all tossed in a spicy gochujang sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 8 ounces cooked noodles
- Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Prep all ingredients: Thinly slice the beef sirloin, mince the garlic, slice the onion and red bell pepper, and cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat the skillet: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Cook the beef: Add the sliced beef sirloin in a single layer. Cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes, then remove from the skillet and set aside to maintain tenderness.
- Sauté the aromatics: In the same skillet, introduce the minced garlic and sliced onion. Sauté until fragrant and softened, about 2 minutes.
- Add bell pepper: Toss in the sliced red bell pepper, continuing to cook for another 2-3 minutes until they become slightly tender.
- Mix the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, Gochujang, sesame oil, and rice vinegar until smooth.
- Bring it all together: Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the sautéed vegetables, stirring to combine. Follow by adding the cooked beef sirloin back into the skillet, tossing to coat everything in that luscious sauce.
- Combine with noodles: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss well to combine, ensuring the noodles are thoroughly coated. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Finishing touches: Remove from heat, and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
- Serve hot: Enjoy your Spicy Korean Gochujang Beef Noodles fresh from the skillet!
