- 1 lb Fresh Green Beans, trimmed
- 8 oz Mushrooms, diced
- 1 medium Onion, diced
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Milk
- 4 tbsp Butter
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the green beans in a large pot of salted boiling water for about 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the diced onions and mushrooms in a skillet with melted butter over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until soft.
- Stir in the milk and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Combine the sautéed mixture with the blanched green beans in a large mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture into a lightly greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
