Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Fresh Green Beans, trimmed
  • 8 oz Mushrooms, diced
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blanch the green beans in a large pot of salted boiling water for about 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté the diced onions and mushrooms in a skillet with melted butter over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until soft.
  4. Stir in the milk and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Combine the sautéed mixture with the blanched green beans in a large mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a lightly greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
