Description

Amish Hamburger Steak Bake is a comforting and hearty dish that combines seasoned hamburger patties with a rich gravy and is baked to perfection, making it a family favorite.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 cup mashed potatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into patties.
  3. In a skillet, brown the patties on both sides over medium heat.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix beef broth and cream of mushroom soup until well combined.
  5. In a baking dish, place the browned patties and pour the soup mixture over them.
  6. Add the frozen mixed vegetables on top.
  7. Spread the mashed potatoes over the top of the mixture.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.
