Description

A delightful and easy apple pie made with crescent roll dough, filled with sweet and tart apples and a hint of cinnamon.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans of crescent roll dough
  • 2 cups of diced apples
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the filling in a bowl with diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  3. Prepare the pie base by unrolling one can of crescent roll dough in a greased pie pan.
  4. Layer the filling over the crescent dough base evenly.
  5. Add small chunks of butter on top of the apple filling.
  6. Seal the pie with the second can of crescent dough, pressing seams together.
  7. Brush the top with beaten egg for shine.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  9. Cool slightly before serving with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Make ahead the apple filling a day prior and store in the fridge. Bake fresh when ready to serve.
