Description

A modern twist on a classic appetizer, these Avocado Deviled Eggs offer a creamy filling of avocado, lime, and spices, beautifully garnished for a refreshing and elegant treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped cilantro (optional)
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the eggs: Start by gently cutting the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise. Carefully remove the yolks, placing them in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix the filling: In the bowl with the yolks, mash them thoroughly with a fork or potato masher until you achieve a smooth consistency. Add the avocado, lime juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Blend until creamy.
  3. Fill the egg whites: Using a spoon or piping bag, fill each egg white half generously with the avocado mixture.
  4. Garnish: Sprinkle chopped cilantro or crushed red pepper flakes on top.
  5. Serve or store: Enjoy immediately, or refrigerate for later.

Notes

If making ahead, add lime juice to the avocado mixture to prevent browning.
