Description

Delicious banana fritters with a crunchy exterior and a soft, sweet inside, perfect as a snack or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mash the bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth with a few lumps.
  2. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, milk, and vanilla extract with the mashed bananas until a thick batter forms.
  3. Heat enough oil in a skillet over medium heat to submerge the fritters halfway.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, frying for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Use a slotted spoon to remove the fritters and drain them on paper towels.
  6. Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar.

Notes

For added sweetness, consider serving with maple syrup or ice cream. Customize with chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
