Description

A delicious and creamy dessert that combines layers of vanilla pudding, ripe bananas, and crunchy vanilla wafers.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of vanilla wafer cookies
  • 34 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 2 cups of vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 container of whipped topping (or whipped cream)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Make the pudding: In your mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth and lump-free. Allow it to set for a few minutes until thickened.
  2. Layer the wafers: Begin by layering half of the vanilla wafer cookies in your 9×13 inch dish, evenly covering the bottom.
  3. Add half of the pudding mixture over the wafers, spreading it gently to cover them completely.
  4. Arrange a layer of sliced bananas over the pudding, ensuring each piece has a place in this delightful creation.
  5. Spread half of the whipped topping over the bananas, smoothing it out nicely for even coverage.
  6. Repeat the layers starting with the remaining vanilla wafer cookies, followed by the rest of the pudding, another banana layer, and the remaining whipped topping.
  7. Cover your masterpiece with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 120 minutes before serving.

Notes

Make ahead for better flavor melding. Avoid over-soaking wafers to prevent sogginess.
