Description

A warm and comforting BBQ Brisket Melt Sandwich featuring tender brisket, gooey melted cheese, and crispy golden-brown bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef brisket, cooked and shredded
  • 4 slices of bread (sourdough or Texas toast)
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • BBQ sauce (to taste)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
  4. Top each slice with a generous portion of shredded brisket.
  5. Drizzle with BBQ sauce to your taste.
  6. Add a slice of cheese on top of the brisket.
  7. Place the remaining slices of bread on top, buttered side up.
  8. Grill until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese has melted—about 3 to 4 minutes.
  9. Flip the sandwich gently using your spatula, and grill the other side until golden and crispy, about another 3 to 4 minutes.
  10. Remove from the skillet, cut in half, and serve warm.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prepare your brisket a day in advance. Cooking alternatives: Use an air fryer for a crispy finish.
