Description

Deliciously soft and fluffy brioche buns filled with a creamy blueberry cheesecake mixture, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs to the dry ingredients; mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and blueberries until well combined.
  7. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into equal portions.
  8. Flatten each portion, add a spoonful of the blueberry cheesecake mixture, and shape it into a bun.
  9. Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a sweeter taste, you can add more sugar to the dough.
  • These buns can be frozen for later enjoyment.
  • Feel free to substitute blueberries with other berries if desired.
