Description

A delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert, Cherry Amaretto Tiramisu combines creamy mascarpone with ripe cherries and the warmth of amaretto for a luxurious experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sweet cherries, pitted and chopped
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup amaretto
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Combine the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl and whip until smooth and creamy, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Soak the ladyfingers in amaretto for just a second or two on each side to avoid sogginess.
  3. Layer the soaked ladyfingers in a 9×13-inch serving dish.
  4. Spoon half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Sprinkle a layer of chopped cherries on top.
  6. Repeat the layering process with remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and cherries.
  7. Chill the assembled tiramisu in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Dust the top with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead tip: Prepare a day in advance for enhanced flavors. Customize with nuts or different berries.
