Description

A rich and creamy casserole that combines chicken, ham, and Swiss cheese with a crunchy topping for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (elbow macaroni or penne)
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Ritz crackers, crushed
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. Combine the shredded chicken, diced ham, Swiss cheese, cream of chicken soup, and milk in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Add the drained pasta to the mixture and fold gently.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  7. Prepare the topping by mixing crushed Ritz crackers with Parmesan cheese and sprinkle this over the casserole.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the topping is golden and crispy.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Prep the casserole a day ahead and refrigerate unbaked for convenience.
