Description

A delightful loaf infused with the nostalgic flavors of cinnamon and sugar, perfect for breakfast or a sweet afternoon snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan generously.
  2. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Cream together the sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, buttermilk, and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a moister loaf, consider refrigerating the batter overnight before baking. You can also customize with chocolate chips or nuts.
