Description
Savor the delightful flavors of tender chicken breast enveloped in a rich, creamy lemon sauce with hints of garlic, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pieces chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 whole lemon (zested and juiced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in your skillet over medium-high heat. Season each chicken breast with salt and pepper, then add them to the hot pan. Sear for 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same pan, add minced garlic, sautéing it for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any flavorful bits stuck to the pan. Allow it to simmer for a couple of minutes. Add the heavy cream, lemon juice, and zest, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, nestling it within the sauce. Let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve the chicken immediately, drizzling with extra sauce and garnishing with fresh parsley.
Notes
This dish can be paired with creamy mashed potatoes, garlic bread, or steamed asparagus. Consider making the sauce in advance for convenience.
