A luxurious creamy ravioli sauce infused with garlic, fresh basil, and Parmigiano Reggiano that elevates any meal.
Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic (finely minced)
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (or to taste)
- 1/2 cup Parmigiano Reggiano (or to taste)
- 5 leaves fresh basil (chopped)
- Sea salt and black pepper (to taste)
- 1 (20-ounce) package refrigerated ravioli (prepared according to package directions)
Instructions
- In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter until foamy.
- Add the finely minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, approximately 30 seconds.
- Mix in 1 tablespoon of tomato paste and 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes, stirring well for a minute.
- Pour in 1/2 cup of chicken broth and let it simmer for about 2 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and gradually mix in 1/2 cup of Parmigiano Reggiano until smooth.
- Toss in your freshly chopped basil, seasoning with sea salt and black pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked ravioli to the sauce, gently tossing until each piece is enveloped in the creamy sauce. Serve immediately.
Notes
This sauce can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For added flair, consider incorporating grilled chicken or sautéed shrimp.
