Ingredients

- 2 slices of bread (sourdough, whole-wheat, or gluten-free)
- 2 slices of cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- Honey or maple syrup (optional, for drizzling)
- Salt (to taste)
Instructions
- Heat your non-stick skillet over medium heat, adding 1 tablespoon of butter to melt.
- Place one slice of bread in the skillet and layer it with the cheese.
- Sprinkle the fresh blueberries evenly over the cheese.
- Top with the second slice of bread and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Flip the sandwich using a spatula and cook the other side until golden, another 3-4 minutes.
- Drizzle honey or maple syrup over the top once done cooking.
- Slice the sandwich in half and serve warm.
Notes
Use room temperature butter for easy spreading. Consider mashing some blueberries to mix with the cheese for extra flavor.
