Description

Delightful egg rolls filled with creamy cheese, crispy bacon, and zesty jalapeños, offering a satisfying crunch and an explosion of flavors.


Ingredients

  • 8 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup jalapeños, diced (fresh or pickled)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and diced jalapeños in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Lay out an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface and spoon about 2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture onto the center.
  3. Fold the bottom edge of the wrapper over the filling, tucking it snugly, then fold in the sides and roll tightly, sealing with beaten egg.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until shimmering.
  5. Carefully place the egg rolls into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the egg rolls from the oil with a slotted spoon and transfer them to paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

You can prepare the filling a day in advance and store in the refrigerator. Air frying or baking are great alternative cooking methods for a healthier option.
