Description

A rich and creamy cheesecake that combines chocolate, cherries, and a crunchy crust for a truly indulgent dessert experience.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • Shaved chocolate for garnish
  • Fresh cherries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Prepare the crust by mixing chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter in a bowl, then pressing it into a springform pan.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  5. Gently fold in sour cream until well combined.
  6. Pour the filling over the crust and bake for 55-60 minutes, until slightly jiggly in the center.
  7. Cool completely and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Whip the heavy cream and spread over the chilled cheesecake.
  9. Top with cherry pie filling, shaved chocolate, and fresh cherries.
  10. Slice and serve to enjoy.
