- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 3 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Food coloring (optional)
- Sprinkles for decoration (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix together flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a small bowl; set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract, and mix until well combined.
- Blend in the dry mixture gradually until fully incorporated.
- Roll teaspoons of dough into balls and place them on ungreased cookie sheets; flatten gently.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
- Cool completely on wire racks.
- Prepare frosting by mixing confectioners’ sugar, milk, and food coloring until smooth.
- Decorate cooled cookies with frosting and sprinkles.
Notes
Chill the dough for easier handling. Consider using an air fryer for quicker baking.
