Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) French onion soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until softened.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, uncooked rice, beef broth, French onion soup, salt, and pepper.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
