Delicious and savory French Onion Sausage Rolls made with flaky puff pastry and a rich pork filling.
Ingredients

- 1 lb pork mince (ground pork)
- 1 packet French onion soup mix (or 1 cup sautéed onions + 1 tsp onion powder)
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Freshly cracked black pepper (to taste)
- 2 sheets puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 1 tbsp milk
- Cheese (cheddar, mozzarella – optional)
- Fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, parsley)
- Chili flakes (for spice)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the filling by mixing pork mince, French onion soup mix, tomato ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Roll out each sheet of puff pastry until about 1/8 inch thick and cut into rectangular shapes (around 4×6 inches).
- Fill the center of each rectangle with a generous spoonful of the pork mixture, optionally adding cheese.
- Seal the pastry by folding it over and pinching the edges, using a fork to crimp if desired.
- Brush the tops with an egg wash made from whisking milk and egg.
- Bake for 25 minutes, until golden brown.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze before baking for up to 3 months.
