Crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these fried deviled eggs elevate the classic snack into an extraordinary appetizer.

- 12 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 raw eggs, at room temperature
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons pickle relish
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper (to taste)
- Paprika (for garnish)
Instructions
- Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and scoop out the yolks into a bowl.
- Mash the yolks and mix in mayonnaise, pickle relish, mustard, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- Transfer the filling into a piping bag or Ziplock bag and refrigerate.
- Prepare a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs in shallow bowls.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat to about 2-3 inches deep.
- Coat each egg white in flour, dip in beaten egg, and roll in panko breadcrumbs.
- Fry the coated egg whites in the hot oil for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove the fried eggs and let them drain on paper towels.
- Pipe the prepared filling into each fried egg white and garnish with paprika.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for later enjoyment.
Notes
Make the egg filling a day in advance for added convenience. If you’d like a healthier option, consider air-frying instead of deep-frying.
