- 12 ounces Spaghetti
- 4 cloves Garlic, freshly minced
- 4 tablespoons Butter
- 8 ounces Cheesy Italian Sausage, sliced
- 2 cups Fresh Spinach
- ½ cup Heavy Cream
- ½ cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti: Fill a large pot with salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Sauté the garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter, add minced garlic, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Brown the sausage: Add the sliced sausage to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and crispy.
- Incorporate the greens: Add the fresh spinach and stir for a couple of minutes until wilted.
- Create the creamy sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and add grated Parmesan. Stir until well combined and cheese is melted.
- Season your dish: Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine and serve: Toss the cooked spaghetti in the skillet until coated in the sauce. Serve warm.
Notes
This dish can be made ahead; simply reheat the sausage and spinach mixture before adding the spaghetti. Customize by adding sun-dried tomatoes or using different leafy greens.
