Description

A delightful fusion of grilled cheese and burrito, featuring a crispy exterior and a cheesy, flavorful filling.


Ingredients

  • 4 large tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (Cheddar or a blend)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Sour cream and salsa for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, stirring occasionally to cook evenly. Drain excess fat as necessary.
  2. Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the beef. Stir in the cooked rice and warm for about 2 minutes.
  3. Spread refried beans on one side of each tortilla.
  4. Layer the beef mixture onto the beans, followed by the shredded cheese.
  5. Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll tightly from the bottom up.
  6. Wipe the skillet clean and return to medium heat. Add butter and let it melt.
  7. Place burritos seam-side down in the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until crispy and golden.
  8. Remove burritos, slice in half and serve warm with sour cream and salsa if desired.

Notes

Avoid overfilling the burritos to ensure proper sealing. You can customize fillings with additional ingredients like vegetables or different cheeses.
