Instructions
- Whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt in a medium saucepan until well combined.
- Gradually add the milk while whisking continuously to form a smooth batter.

- Once the pudding thickens and coats the back of a spoon, remove it from the heat.
- Stir in the butter and vanilla extract until fully melted and combined.
- Pour the pudding into serving dishes and let cool slightly before refrigerating.
- Chill the pudding for at least 2 hours until set.
