Description

A rich and velvety homemade chocolate pudding that balances sweetness and deep cocoa flavor, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt in a medium saucepan until well combined.
  2. Gradually add the milk while whisking continuously to form a smooth batter.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir constantly as the mixture heats up.
  4. Once the pudding thickens and coats the back of a spoon, remove it from the heat.
  5. Stir in the butter and vanilla extract until fully melted and combined.
  6. Pour the pudding into serving dishes and let cool slightly before refrigerating.
  7. Chill the pudding for at least 2 hours until set.
