Deliciously tender and crispy honey mustard chicken sliders served in soft buns, perfect for gatherings.

- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into slider-sized portions
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil, for frying
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 slider buns
- 4 slices cheddar cheese, quartered
- Lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, and pickle chips (optional toppings)
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken pieces by cutting them into slider-sized portions; aim for 2-3 inches square and 1/2 inch thick.
- Set up the breading station in three shallow dishes: combine flour and spices in one dish, beaten eggs in another, and panko breadcrumbs in the last.
- Bread the chicken by dredging each piece in the flour mixture, then dip in the beaten eggs, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Rest the breaded chicken on a plate for 10-15 minutes to set the coating.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry the chicken in hot oil for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the chicken using a slotted spoon and allow to drain on a wire rack.
- Combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl to make the honey mustard sauce.
- Prepare the slider buns by optionally toasting them lightly.
- Spread the honey mustard sauce on both halves of each bun.
- Add the fried chicken, cheese, and optional toppings to each bun.
- Top with the bun tops and serve immediately.
Notes
For gluten-free sliders, use gluten-free flour and panko breadcrumbs.
