Description

A luxurious and creamy dessert imbued with rich espresso, sweet cream, and delicate cocoa, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Begin by beating the heavy cream in a large bowl with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
  2. In another bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until velvety smooth.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture using a spatula.
  4. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled brewed espresso and arrange in a serving dish.
  5. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
  6. Repeat the dipping and layering process with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
  7. Dust the top with cocoa powder using a fine sieve.
  8. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least four hours.

Notes

Make-ahead dessert; it tastes better the next day. Avoid over-whipping the cream and ensure ladyfingers are dipped briefly.
