Description

Deliciously savory and spicy, these Jalapeno Popper Pigs in a Blanket are wrapped in flaky crescent dough and filled with cream cheese, bacon, and cheddar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 oz Lit’l Smokies
  • 1 can crescent rolls
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 4.5 oz can green chilies, drained
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and cut each triangle in half to create 32 small pieces.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and stir in the remaining ingredients until well combined.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture on each piece of crescent dough and place a Lit’l Smokie at the widest end, rolling up securely.
  5. Place the assembled poppers seam side down on the baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

Assemble the pigs in blankets ahead of time and refrigerate before baking for up to 24 hours. They can also be made gluten-free using gluten-free dough.
