Description

Delicious Low-Calorie Quark Fritters with a crispy exterior and creamy texture, perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250g Magerquark
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp Honey or Maple Syrup (optional)
  • 100g Oats (ground or fine)
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the ground oats, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Blend the Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the Magerquark and egg. Add honey or maple syrup if using.
  3. Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Pour the dry mix into the wet ingredients. Blend well with the whisk until smooth.
  4. Form the Fritters: Use a tablespoon to scoop portions of the batter, roll into balls, and flatten them into discs.
  5. Fry to Perfection: Heat coconut oil in your skillet over medium heat and cook fritters for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute Magerquark with non-dairy yogurt or Greek yogurt.
