- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter in a medium bowl until well blended. Press into the tart pan and chill.
- Warm 1 cup heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until simmering. Remove from heat and stir in chopped dark chocolate until smooth.
- Beat remaining heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until soft peaks form.
- Fold whipped cream into melted chocolate until combined.
- Pour the filling into the prepared crust and smooth the top.
- Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes, or until set.
- Serve chilled, garnished with whipped cream or chocolate shavings if desired.
Notes
This tart can be stored in the fridge for up to three days or frozen for longer storage. It also pairs well with fresh berries and whipped cream.
