Description

A vibrant and flavorful homemade pepper jam that’s perfect for spreading on bread, serving with cheese, or as a glaze for meats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of chopped peppers (red, green, or a mix)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup of lemon juice
  • 1 package (1.75 oz) of pectin
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the peppers by removing stems and seeds, then chop finely.
  2. Combine chopped peppers, sugar, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, and salt in a large pot.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves.
  4. Add pectin and cook for 1-2 minutes while stirring to blend.
  5. Cool the mixture slightly for about 5 minutes.
  6. Transfer the jam into sterilized jars while still warm and seal tightly.
  7. Allow jars to cool completely at room temperature before refrigerating.

Notes

Customize your jam by experimenting with different pepper types or adding herbs like thyme for a unique flavor.
