Description

A delightful appetizer featuring Lil’ Smokies sausages, juicy pineapple, and spicy jalapeños, all wrapped in a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (14 oz) Lil’ Smokies sausages
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, diced
  • 12 jalapeños, sliced (adjust based on heat preference)
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the barbecue sauce, honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the Lil’ Smokies sausages, tossing until coated in the sauce.
  4. Arrange the sausages in a baking dish in a single layer.
  5. Scatter the diced pineapple and jalapeño slices over the sausages.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  7. Remove and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with cilantro if desired.

Notes

You can assemble these bites a day in advance and keep them in the fridge. For a quicker version, cook them in an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes.
