- 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a cake pan by greasing and flouring it generously.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium mixing bowl until well combined.
- Cream butter and sugar together in a large bowl using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
- Stir in pineapple juice and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, folding gently until just combined.
- Fold in the drained crushed pineapple.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For added flavor, consider using fresh pineapple or adding nuts and shredded coconut.
