Description

Tender pulled pork nestled in soft slider buns, topped with cheese and coleslaw for a delightful burst of flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or pepper jack)
  • 8 slider buns
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: coleslaw for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Season the pork shoulder with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the pork in a roasting pan and cover tightly with foil.
  4. Bake for 4-5 hours until the pork is tender and pulls apart easily with a fork.
  5. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before shredding.
  6. Mix the shredded pork with barbecue sauce in a large bowl.
  7. Assemble the sliders with pulled pork on the bottom half of each slider bun.
  8. Top with shredded cheese and optionally some coleslaw.
  9. Place the top bun on and serve immediately.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Pulled pork tastes even better the next day as the flavors meld beautifully.
