Description

A comforting casserole featuring layers of fluffy scrambled eggs, savory sausage, and melted cheese, perfect for family gatherings or lazy breakfasts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish generously with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Cook the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until golden-brown, then set aside.
  3. Prepare the egg mixture by whisking together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Layer the cooked sausage in the bottom of your greased baking dish.
  5. Add the diced onions and bell peppers over the sausage.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sausage and vegetables.
  7. Top it off with shredded cheese.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is golden.
  9. Cool slightly before slicing and serve warm.

Notes

Make-Ahead: Assemble the casserole the night before and bake fresh in the morning. Customize with different veggies or cheeses for variation.
