Description

A creamy and crunchy sweet potato casserole perfect for family meals and festive gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into uniform pieces.
  3. Boil the sweet potatoes in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  4. Drain the sweet potatoes and transfer them back into the pot. Mash them with the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until creamy and smooth.
  5. Spread the mashed sweet potatoes evenly into a baking dish.
  6. Mix together the chopped walnuts and breadcrumbs with the melted butter.
  7. Sprinkle the walnut-breadcrumb mixture over the sweet potatoes.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.
  9. Serve warm alongside your favorite entrees.
