Description

A comforting and creamy casserole featuring sweet potatoes, topped with crunchy potato chips for a perfect contrast.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups potato chips
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and chop the sweet potatoes, then boil them in water until tender.
  3. Drain the sweet potatoes and mash them in a large bowl.
  4. Add the butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, milk, and cinnamon. Season with salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  6. Crush the potato chips and sprinkle them on top of the sweet potato mixture.
  7. Bake for about 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Serve hot as a side dish for your Easter dinner.

Notes
