Description

A comforting dish of baked sweet potatoes layered with a creamy garlic-infused sauce and topped with crispy Parmesan, perfect for festive gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium Sweet Potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Thyme or Rosemary, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried)
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 2 cups Cream (or half-and-half for a lighter version)
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the sweet potatoes thinly using a sharp knife or mandoline.
  3. Mix cream, minced garlic, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Layer the sweet potato slices in a greased baking dish, pouring cream mixture over each layer.
  5. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese generously on top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can prepare this dish a day ahead and store it uncooked in the fridge. For a different flavor, substitute sweet potatoes with butternut squash.
