- 450g All-Purpose Flour
- 150g Cold Butter
- 2 Large Eggs
- 140g Sugar
- 7–8 Tart Apples (Elstar or Boskop)
- 2.5 Packs Vanilla Pudding
- 1.25L Milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Combine flour, cold butter, eggs, sugar, and a pinch of salt in a large mixing bowl; mix until crumbly.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- Peel, core, and slice the apples into wedges; toss with lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Whip the vanilla pudding according to package instructions.
- Roll out the chilled dough; place it on the sheet pan evenly.
- Pour the prepared pudding over the crust and press the apple slices into the filling.
- Mix crumble topping with flour, cold butter, sugar, and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the apples.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and apples are tender.
- Cool slightly before cutting into squares.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider preparing homemade vanilla custard instead of pudding. Make the cake a day in advance for enhanced flavor.
