Description

  • 1 cup chicken broth or veggie broth
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced) or 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup cream (warmed)
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Start by peeling and chopping your Yukon Gold potatoes into 1-inch pieces.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Place the chopped potatoes into your slow cooker, then pour in the chicken broth. Dot the top with butter cubes, sprinkle the onion powder, and add the minced garlic.
  3. Cook to Perfection: Cover and set your slow cooker to high for about 180-240 minutes.
  4. Mash It Up: Once cooked, use a potato masher or an electric mixer to mash the potatoes until they reach your desired consistency.
  5. Mix in the Goodness: Stir in your sour cream, salt, and pepper. Slowly blend in the warmed cream until you achieve your desired creaminess.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Serve your mashed potatoes warm, adorned with chopped green onions and a drizzle of melted butter.

Notes
