- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Start by caramelizing onions. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the sliced onions, salt, and pepper. Cook them slowly, stirring occasionally, for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Prepare for baking. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) while you mix the other ingredients.
- Mix the creamy components. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded smoked Gouda, softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and minced garlic. Stir until blended.
- Incorporate the caramelized onions into the cheese mixture, evenly distributing them.
- Transfer the dip mixture into a small baking dish and let it bake for 20 to 25 minutes until bubbling and golden.
- Finish with fresh chives for garnish.
Notes
