Description
A vibrant and flavorful stir-fry combining ground beef and fresh vegetables, topped with a hint of sriracha for an extra kick.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, etc.)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice (for serving)
Instructions
- Heat the oil: In a large skillet, pour in the sesame oil and heat over medium heat until it shimmers slightly.
- Brown the beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet. Allow it to brown while breaking it apart with your spatula until no pink remains—this should take about 5 minutes.
- Add garlic: Stir in the minced garlic and let it cook for another minute.
- Incorporate vegetables: Toss in your mixed vegetables and pour in the soy sauce. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until the veggies are vibrant and tender yet still crisp.
- Spice it up: If desired, add the sriracha and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve: Spoon the stir-fry over bowls of steamed rice.
Notes
Prep veggies in advance to save time. Customize vegetables according to your preference. Avoid overcrowding the skillet during cooking.
