Description
A vibrant dish featuring tender beef, silky noodles, and crisp vegetables, all enveloped in a spicy and sweet gochujang sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 8 ounces cooked noodles
- Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Prep all ingredients: Thinly slice the beef sirloin, mince the garlic, and slice the onion and red bell pepper. Cook the noodles according to package instructions and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the thinly sliced beef sirloin to the hot skillet. Sear the beef for about 3-4 minutes or until it’s nicely browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, toss in the minced garlic and sliced onion, sautéing until fragrant and softened, about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the sliced red bell pepper and give it another 2-3 minutes.
- While your veggies sauté, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang, sesame oil, and rice vinegar in a small bowl.
- Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the fragrant vegetables, stirring to combine.
- Add the cooked beef back into the skillet, tossing everything together to coat in the sauce.
- Introduce the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing and mixing for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve hot.
Notes
You can prepare the beef and veggies a day in advance. Store separately in airtight containers for quick assembly.
