Description

Steakhouse Potatoes Romanov is a creamy, cheesy potato dish that is perfect for any steak dinner or special occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup of sour cream
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, sour cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Add the sliced potatoes to the cream mixture and stir until well coated.
  4. Layer half of the potato mixture in a greased baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle half of the cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the first layer.
  6. Add the remaining potato mixture on top and finish with the remaining cheese.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add some diced jalapeños to the potato mixture.
  • This dish can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
