- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 package (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- Colorful Easter sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Layer the sliced strawberries evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.
- Cream the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth, then pour over the strawberries.
- Combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and milk in another bowl, then pour over the cream cheese layer without overmixing.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden and cake is set.
- Cool for a few minutes, then sprinkle colorful Easter toppings over the cake.
- Serve warm or chilled, as desired.
Notes
If you’re making ahead, prepare the strawberry layer and cream cheese mixture a day prior. Use frozen strawberries if needed, draining excess moisture.
